1997 als Sportfotodienst gegründet, wurde imago schnell zu einem der größten und extrem schnell wachsenden Anbieter von Editorial- und Stockfotografie in Deutschland. Mit der Gründung von imago Stock&People im Jahr 2001 erweiterten wir unser Angebot auf alle Lebensbereiche, mit dem Ziel imago zu einem der größten und vollständigsten Universalfotoarchive zu machen.
Heute sind über 12,5 Millionen Fotos verfügbar. Über 70.000 neue Bilder werden jede Woche neu durch uns bearbeitet und online gestellt. Über 3.000 Kunden nutzen unseren Service.
Die thematische Vielfalt unserer Datenbanken wird durch unsere mehr als 1.000 Fotografen und Partneragenturen gewährleistet. Dieses engmaschige Partnernetz in Deutschland und 30 weiteren Ländern ermöglicht uns eine sehr dichte lokale Abdeckung bei allen relevanten Themen.

Founded in 1997 as imago sports, imago soon became one of the largest and fastest growing providers of editorial and stock photography in Germany. With the introduction of imago stock&people in 2001 we expanded our coverage to include all aspects of life, with the aim of making imago one of the few truly universal photo archives.
